Enduro Bearings pioneered MAX type bearings almost 20 years ago for bicycles to address the challenges associated with mountain bike pivots. MAX – type bearings provide 35 – 40 % more load capacity than standard radial bearings by utilizing a special design where the maximum number of balls are inserted into the bearing, via a custom ground slot in the races. The additional balls, combined with deep race grooves in these bearings providing greater lateral support for the twisting and multi – directional forces associated with mountain bike pivots.

This ABEC-3 bearing features deep – groove design races, with Grade 10 balls and full – contact, double – lip, labyrinth (LLU) seals for maximum protection against the elements, while keeping the 90 % fill of Almagard extra high pressure grease inside. This bearing has been used as a suspension pivot bearing by a number of bicycle brands.
